Springer Nature and Cornell University establish three‑year transformative agreement -

Springer Nature has entered into a three‑year Transformative Agreement with Cornell University Library, expanding open access (OA) publishing opportunities for the institution’s research community. The agreement provides unlimited OA publishing for articles accepted in Springer Nature hybrid journals and ensures reading access to a wide range of content.

Under the agreement, Cornell‑affiliated researchers can publish all accepted articles in Springer’s hybrid portfolio OA at no cost to individual authors. This arrangement is intended to make it easier for scholars to share their work openly, increase visibility, and contribute to scientific progress across disciplines.

The agreement covers the entire Cornell research community and includes access to journals across Springer, Palgrave, Academic Journals on nature.com, and Adis. By removing publication costs for eligible researchers, the initiative supports broader dissemination of discoveries and enhances the impact of Cornell scholarship.
