The 15th GW Ethics in Publishing Conference, will be held as a hybrid event on October 9-10, 2025, at the George Washington University Arlington Education Center, will explore the critical role of ethics in publishing. Focusing on "Why Ethics Matter," the conference will host in-person and virtual presentations by publishing, library, and scholarly communications professionals, scholars, faculty, and students. Discussions will encompass diverse topics including peer review challenges, publishing equity, the impact of DEI/accessibility initiatives, AI and research integrity, multilingualism, inclusive practices in language editing and design, editorial board representation, measuring success and publishing impact, community-centered peer review practices, and more. Building on the success of previous years, the conference aims to foster dialogue and actionable strategies for ethical practices in scholarly publishing.
