The Council of Science Editors (CSE) is an international membership organization for editorial professionals publishing in the sciences. The purpose is to serve over 800 members in the scientific, scientific publishing, and information science communities by fostering networking, education, discussion, and exchange. The theme for 2024 CSE Annual Meeting is “Communicating Science for a Sustainable Future.” The Annual meeting will be held on May 4-7, 2024.
In addition to 3 general sessions, the program will also include 21 concurrent sessions on May 6th and 7th. Topics will include research integrity, early career engagement in peer review, a jam session for manuscript editors, launching a new Open Access journal, FAIR data, and much more. The last day of the annual meeting will feature a special closing session that explores the opportunities and risks of generative artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing, from which attendees will take away current examples of policies and guidance for use in their own organizations.
