With evolution occurring within the publishing landscape, keeping up to date with emerging technologies, new industry initiatives and changes in user behaviour is an important, and increasingly time consuming activity for all publishers. Digital strategy has become a core and necessary part of every publisher’s business and making the right decisions on digital strategy and investment in technology has a critical impact on publishers’ ability to deliver digital content and products successfully. This seminar will focus on the creation and evolution of a digital strategy within the academic publishing space (the “why”, the “how” and best practice), current technology trends (and which ones you should be worrying about), the importance of knowing your audience along with case studies from STM and Social Sciences case studies.
