Hosted by the STM Early Career Publisher’s Committee, this event will feature a roundtable discussion on author name change policies and their implementation across several publishers. The panel will include representatives from both the publishing industry as well as from academia and will aim to shed light on why such policies are important and what publishers should consider when implementing similar policies.
Sample Topics include: Why was this policy needed? Why now? (Author POV); What was the process to develop and implement the policy? How/were authors included in this planning?; and What were the challenges and pain points during this process and what did the team to do overcome these? How is it working from an author perspective.
