The Royal Library, the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, the European Association of Information Services and IOS Press Scientific Publishing are organising a conference on April 19, 2005 at Belgium’s Royal Library.
The conference, titled ‘Communicating Scientific, Technical and Medical knowledge 2005-2010’, will be attended by scientists, publishers, intermediaries and libraries who play key roles in the STM publishing market. Some of the discussion topics are: Libraries as knowledge centres, What the STM academic community actually wants, The economic and technical evolution of the scientific publication market and communicating scientific information, cornerstone of the European Union’s science policy.
