The US’ National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has organised a workshop on OpenURL and Metasearch on September 19-21, 2005 at the AED Conference Center in Washington, DC. The event will discuss key topics such as OpenURL standards and innovative services, NISO’s Metasearch initiative, its present and potential market and its creative applications. It will also seek to address certain issues faced by STM publishers and information providers, librarians and IT vendors.
