The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) has announced the appointment of Dr Jeremy M. Boss, professor of microbiology and immunology at Emory University School of Medicine, as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Immunology (JI). Dr. Boss will assume his new five-year position on July 1, 2008. He succeeds current editor-in-chief Dr Robert R. Rich.
Dr. Boss is director of Emory's Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology, and has been a member of the Emory School of Medicine faculty since 1986. He has served as deputy editor of the JI since 2003, and served previously as an associate editor and reviewer.
Owned and published by The American Association of Immunologists, the journal is claimed to be one of the most cited publications in biomedicine. It publishes novel peer-reviewed findings in all areas of experimental immunology.
