STM publishing company SLACK Inc, US, and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. (AAOHN) have announced that the AAOHN Journal will officially change its name to Workplace Health & Safety: Promoting Environments Conducive to Well-Being and Productivity, effective January 2012.
As the journal has evolved and expanded over the past 60 years, the name of the journal has also evolved to reflect the changes in occupational and environmental health nursing. The title change better reflects the current practice of members, supports business leaders' knowledge of occupational health nurses' expanded roles, promotes occupational health nursing to potential members and ensures the continued success of the journal.
The journal is peer-reviewed, indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed, and continues to welcome manuscripts that focus on promoting the health and safety of workers. It will continue to be the official publication of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc.
