The Association of American Publishers (AAP) has officially opened submissions for the 2025 PROSE Awards, celebrating excellence in professional and scholarly publishing. Entries will be accepted from today, October 1, through Monday, November 18, 2024.
The PROSE Awards honor outstanding scholarly books, journals, reference works, e-products, and nonfiction graphic novels published in the United States during 2024. Submissions will be judged in five main categories: Biological and Life Sciences, Humanities, Physical Sciences & Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Reference Works. All works submitted must have a 2024 copyright date.
Publishers interested in submitting entries will be required to pay a $115 entry fee and provide one electronic review copy of the work as an annotatable PDF. Judges may also request hard copies for closer review. If selected as a winner, publishers must supply physical copies to AAP.
To be eligible, publishers must be a member of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) or the Association of University Presses (AUPresses).
