AccessEngineering wins 2012 PROSE Award for best eProduct in Physical Sciences and Mathematics -

Scientific and medical information resources provider McGraw-Hill Professional, US, has announced that its innovative reference and learning platform for engineers, AccessEngineering, was honored as the best eProduct in Physical Sciences and Mathematics at the 2012 Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (the PROSE Awards), in a year of record entries to the competition.

Established by the Association of American Publishers, the PROSE Awards, which are judged by peer publishers, academics and librarians, recognise the very best in professional and scholarly publishing by bringing attention to distinguished and groundbreaking books, journals, and electronic content in more than 40 categories.

AccessEngineering draws on McGraw-Hill Professional's more than 100 years of expertise in creating critical engineering content and services and includes classic titles such as Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook, Marks' Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers, Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain, as well as a plethora of newer publications, such as Mechatronics in Medicine and Energy Systems Engineering. It builds on these with dynamic online features, such as faculty-created teaching videos, filtered search, downloadable data, and interactive graphs. These, along with curriculum maps that tie core content to real-world engineering problems and help save educators time, make AccessEngineering a clear leader in the fast-evolving world of next-generation reference tools.
