ACM unveils new Journal ‘Proceedings of the ACM on Networking’ (PACMNET) -

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) has launched its latest peer-reviewed journal, the 'Proceedings of the ACM on Networking' (PACMNET), with its inaugural issue now available. This quarterly publication, PACMNET, is dedicated to disseminating original research papers focusing on cutting-edge technologies, innovative experimentation, creative utilization of networking technologies, and fresh insights into network management.

PACMNET serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in the realm of computer networks. It features articles encompassing a wide spectrum of subjects, including system design, performance assessments of computer networks, lessons learned from real-world deployments, traffic engineering, and network programmability. Contributions from both academic experts and practitioners operating in public or private sectors are welcomed.

The journal encourages submissions that span diverse networking domains, covering areas such as policy, security, and privacy, as well as performance and energy efficiency. Authors are also encouraged to include experimental results and share supplementary materials, such as code and datasets, to enhance the scholarly discourse.

A unique aspect of the first issue of PACMNET is that all the papers it contains will be presented at the upcoming CoNEXT 2023 conference, scheduled to be held from December 5th to 8th, 2023, in Paris, France.

The editorial team for PACMNET, led by the joint Editors-in-Chief (EICs) Marco Mellia, Professor of Control and Computer Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and Peter Steenkiste, Professor of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, is a diverse and globally distributed group representing countries such as Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This accomplished team includes Managing Editors, Advisory Board Members, Editors drawn from leading companies and academic institutions, Associate Editors, and an Information Director.

ACM, a prolific publisher in the field of computing and information technology, boasts a collection of over 60 scholarly peer-reviewed journals spanning numerous computing disciplines. These journals, available through the ACM Digital Library, serve as an extensive and comprehensive repository of computing innovation. They encompass both emerging and established research, catering to both practical and theoretical applications. ACM's journal editors are esteemed thought leaders in their respective fields, and the organization's commitment to rapid publication ensures minimal delays in the dissemination of groundbreaking ideas and discoveries.
