ACS appoints Marisa C. Kozlowski as editor-in-chief of Organic Letters -

The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has appointed Marisa C. Kozlowski as the new editor-in-chief of the journal Organic Letters.

Kozlowski is known for her groundbreaking research in the design of asymmetric catalysts and the development of new methods for oxidative carbon-carbon, carbon-oxygen and carbon-nitrogen bond-forming reactions in asymmetric synthesis. Kozlowski is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including her election as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2012 and as an American Chemical Society Fellow in 2013.

Organic Letters, launched in 1999, serves as an international forum for the rapid publication of brief reports of cutting-edge research, creative approaches and innovative ideas in all branches of the theory and practice of organic chemistry. In the 2020 Web of Science Journal Citation Reports from Clarivate, the journal was named as the most highly cited in the category of ‘chemistry, organic.’ With an Impact Factor of 6.091, over 2,000 articles published in the past year and a submission-to-online publication time of just four weeks, it is the highest rated organic chemistry journal and one of the fastest-publishing peer-reviewed scientific journals.
