The ACS Publications proudly signs on to support the SDGs, with a specific focus on three crucial goals: Zero Hunger (goal 2), Affordable and Clean Energy (goal 7), and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (goal 9). By prioritizing these areas, ACS Publications aims to foster sustainability practices and accelerate the progress of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
ACS Publications hosts numerous journals dedicated to publishing research in the domains of food science, clean energy, and industrial innovation. The expanding portfolio of ACS journals actively contributes to sustainability, featuring titles such as the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Energy & Fuels, and Environmental Science & Technology, among others. Several journals regularly publish special issues focusing on specific topics within these areas, showcasing some of the most innovative work advancing the SDGs.
Furthermore, articles published in ACS Publications journals actively support the ACS Campaign for a Sustainable Future. In the past year, ACS unveiled a portfolio of strategic initiatives designed to bring transformative change to the chemistry enterprise. With a commitment to advancing the broader chemistry community and benefiting the Earth and all its inhabitants, ACS will invest up to $50 million over the next five years in four impactful initiatives.
