The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has announced the launch of ACS ES&T Air, an innovative journal dedicated to publishing groundbreaking research on all aspects of air quality sciences and engineering.
ACS ES&T Air will provide a platform for the exploration of outdoor and indoor air chemistry and physics, air pollution, and climate change, with a focus on their impact on human and ecosystem health. The journal will feature a wide range of studies, including laboratory and in situ measurements, remote sensing observations, computational modeling, and more.
The inaugural Editor-in-Chief of ACS ES&T Air, Professor Nga Lee (Sally) Ng, Ph.D., brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to her role. As the Love Family Professor in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Professor Ng is well-positioned to steer the journal toward the forefront of air chemistry research. Her appointment reflects the journal's commitment to providing a vital platform for the latest advancements in this rapidly evolving field, which directly impacts human and environmental health and climate change.
The journal's first issue is scheduled for publication in January 2024, with submissions opening on June 21, 2023. By providing a leading outlet for air-related research, ACS ES&T Air aims to foster collaboration, innovation, and impactful solutions in this critical field.
