Gareth Rapley, Director of The London Book Fair (LBF), is stepping down from the role and moving to a new position within RX (Reed Exhibitions). He will be replaced by Adam Ridgway, who will move into the role with immediate effect, working with Gareth for the next two months to ensure a smooth transition.
Gareth Rapley was appointed as Director in September 2022 having previously spent time in the Middle East working in the energy sector. Following two highly successful editions of the Fair in 2023 and 2024, he now returns to that sector with a promotion to the role of Portfolio Director.
Adam Ridgway is an experienced events leader, having spent the last 36-years working for some of the largest and leading conference and exhibition organizers. His career has seen him work in both B2B and B2C events across multiple industry sectors including energy, jewelry, chemicals, and broadcasting, ranging from small-scale conference-led events with 1000 attendees up to large-scale shows attracting 130,000 attendees in countries as diverse as Canada, Malaysia, Bahrain, and Norway.
The London Book Fair returns to Olympia London on 11-13 March 2025.
