Adtech offers online ad delivery service targeted at iPad owners -

Digital marketing solutions provider Adtech, US, part of AOL Advertising, has announced support for delivering online advertising across the new iPad from Apple. Available immediately, Adtech will now help its publisher, agency and ad network customers to specifically target iPad owners on the web.

An increasingly number of ads are now seen to contain Flash elements. As Apple devices reject Flash, iPad users can be concisely identified, according to Adtech representatives. It is expected that Adtech customers can use the targeting to deliver Flash-free ads to iPad. The company's solution for iPad seeks to help agencies, ad networks and publishers ensue that the ads are properly presented and reach the users.

iPads are identified through the browser ID. To allow users to access the Internet, Apple has preinstalled an extra version of its Safari browser on the device. When they book campaigns, advertisers can now choose the iPhone, xBox, Playstation as well as the iPad as a browser. Adtech customers have the option to book advertising specifically for the iPad on the adserver.

The Adtech solution is currently browser-recognition based. The company is additionally working on various other options to identify mobile devices.

Adtech is AOL Advertising's ad serving platform. Its flagship product is an integrated ad server solution that enables web publishers, ad networks, agencies and advertisers to manage, serve and evaluate virtually any kind of online advertising campaign including display, video and mobile formats.
