Portico, a digital preservation service for electronic journals, books, and digitized historical collections, has announced that AECL Nuclear Review will be preserving its e-journal with Portico. With this initiative, AECL Nuclear Review seeks to ensure that its content will be preserved and available into the future.
The AECL Nuclear Review showcases innovative and important nuclear science and technology that is aligned with AECL's core programs. The AECL is Canada's premier nuclear science and technology (S&T) organisation, serving an important public policy role in nuclear matters, providing advice, counsel, and service as an agent of the federal government.
Portico is supported by more than 900 libraries and over 220 publishers - representing more than 2000 scholarly societies and associations - worldwide. Portico is part of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways.
