AIP Publishing appoints Meredith LeMasurier as Chief Publishing Officer -

AIP Publishing has appointed Meredith LeMasurier as Chief Publishing Officer, effective February 2. In the role, LeMasurier will oversee publishing strategy and the organization’s journal portfolio, supporting AIP Publishing’s mission to advance the physical sciences through open and community-focused research communication.

LeMasurier brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience in scholarly publishing, with senior editorial, publishing management and commercial roles across Elsevier, Springer Nature, and Digital Science. At Springer Nature, she served as Editor-in-Chief of Nature Neuroscience before moving into broader publishing leadership positions, including oversight of the organization’s open access portfolio. Most recently, she held the role of Executive Vice President for the publisher market at Digital Science.

Her appointment aligns with AIP Publishing’s focus on mission-driven and sustainable publishing growth. The organization has highlighted LeMasurier’s experience in portfolio development, editorial strategy, and author-focused publishing models as key strengths supporting its long-term objectives.

LeMasurier will play a central role in shaping AIP Publishing’s next phase of development, with responsibility for balancing portfolio growth with service to the research community and the physical sciences.
