AIP Publishing has unveiled plans to launch a new open-access journal, APL Computational Physics, with submissions slated to open in early 2025. The journal will focus on the rapidly advancing field of computational physics, offering a platform for innovative research utilizing computational models, methods, and simulations across various domains of physics.
APL Computational Physics aims to highlight interdisciplinary approaches that integrate computational techniques to address complex physical challenges. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the journal will serve as a key resource for the global computational physics community.
The inaugural editor-in-chief is currently being sought, and the first issue is expected to be published in the second half of 2025. APL Computational Physics will join other prominent journals in the Applied Physics Letters (APL) family, including APL Materials, APL Photonics, APL Machine Learning, and more, continuing APL's tradition of scientific rigor and excellence.
Further details on the journal’s mission and scope will be provided following the appointment of its editor-in-chief.
