AIP Publishing makes 22 volumes of Low Temperature Physics digitally available to mark journal’s 50th anniversary -

AIP Publishing has released digitized, full-text English translations of the first 22 volumes of Low Temperature Physics (LTP), encompassing the years 1975 through 1996. The release marks the 50th anniversary of the journal, making over 4,700 research articles—previously accessible only in abstract form—available in full for the global scientific community.

Low Temperature Physics, the English edition of the Ukrainian journal Fizika Nizkikh Temperatur (FNT), has played a foundational role in advancing the field of low temperature physics. The journal has served as a prominent platform for disseminating experimental and theoretical research in areas such as superconductivity, magnetism, lattice dynamics, quantum fluids and solids, cryocrystals, disordered systems, and electronic properties of metals and alloys.

By making these early volumes digitally accessible, AIP Publishing has preserved a significant archive of scientific contributions and has enhanced the accessibility of decades of scholarship. This digital availability expands the reach of a publication that has long been associated with leading researchers and landmark discoveries in the field.

The initiative underscores the journal’s historical connection to prominent figures in low temperature physics, including many who were instrumental in the development of the discipline in Ukraine and internationally. The translated volumes document contributions from widely cited researchers and reflect the journal’s deep ties to the scientific work emerging from the Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering in Kharkiv, which played a pivotal role in the journal’s formation and editorial leadership.

With the full archive now available online, the research community gains comprehensive access to five decades of developments in low temperature physics. The collection reinforces the journal’s legacy as a core resource for foundational and ongoing research in the field.
