Allen Press introduces journal marketing service - Journal Display Program -

Publishing services provider Allen Press, Inc., US, has introduced the Allen Press Journal Display Program, a new journal marketing service offered to advertisers in the Allen Press Buyer's Guide to Scientific, Medical, and Scholarly Journals. The Buyer's Guide is a subscription catalogue of 200 international journals.

The Journal Display Program will provide society publishers an opportunity to have their publications and promotional materials represented at core library meetings, both domestic and international, throughout the year for a prescribed fee. The meetings where representation will take place are the most prominent academic and medical library meetings.

The US meetings include Association of College and Research Libraries, North American Serials Interest Group, Special Libraries Association, and the Charleston Conference. The international meetings where journals will be marketed are the Frankfurt Book Fair and London Online Information.

The library industry meetings were selected for this programme based on the large number of professionals who attend, many of whom have purchasing power for their libraries and institutions. The attendees include academic and medical research librarians, serial and acquisitions librarians, and electronic resources librarians.
