Healthcare information and education publisher Allen Press, US, has announced that it will host an environmental workshop series titled 'Publish Responsibly: Practical solutions for environmentally conscious organizations'. The focus of the workshops will be to inform publishers about environmentally responsible methods and practices within the industry.
Attendees will learn about sustainability solutions such as the Forestry Stewardship Council, renewable energy sources, low- and no-VOC-emission inks and solvents, and digital workflows to reduce paper waste. Featured speakers include industry experts Joe Izaak, Senior Consultant Sales and Marketing, Print Production, Sappi Fine Paper NA; Sarah Hill-Nelson, Bonneville Environmental Foundation and Secretary-Treasurer of The Bowersock Mills and Power Company; Sue Silver, Editor-in-Chief, Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment; Adrian Stanley, CEO, The Charlesworth Group; and Guy Dresser, Vice President, STM Sales, Allen Press.
