The Association of Learned & Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) will host the tenth anniversary of the annual conference at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk, near Amsterdam in The Netherlands. The three day event will take place from September 13-15, 2017.
The ALPSP Conference was formally launched in 2008 at Beaumont House, Old Windsor, UK with 160 delegates. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and is regularly attended by over 300 delegates. It is now an established date in the diary for the scholarly and professional publishing community.
The ALPSP Conference was launched in 2008 by then Chief Executive Ian Russell. Prior to this, ALPSP brought members together to network informally at an annual dinner, launched in 2001. Previously to this, the ALPSP Awards were announced at the International Learned Journals Seminar in the spring. Since the conference started, it has nearly doubled in size and is a key date in the scholarly publishing calendar.
