The Council of ALPSP has welcomed the guidelines recently published by the Research Information Network (RIN) for research funders, authors and publishers on the Acknowledgement of Funders in Scholarly Journal Articles.
The RIN has issued guidance on how research funders should be acknowledged by authors in scholarly journal articles. This has been drawn up in partnership with major research funders and publishers, and provides concise and sensible information on what wording to use to help ensure consistency in the way that funders are acknowledged.
This guidance is endorsed by the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, the Association of Medical Research Charities, the Publishers Association, Research Councils UK and the Wellcome Trust.
