The American Academy of Neurology has launched Neurology for the iPad and is making the tool available free of charge for a limited time at the App Store. Neurology is the medical journal of the Academy and claims to be a widely read and highly cited peer-reviewed neurology journal.
Neurology for the iPad optimises the best in digital technology to enhance a print-like reading experience with article-sharing features, multimedia links and other benefits, such as: easy-to-read full-text articles that can be shared via email or social media; adjustable text sizing with "pinch and zoom"; engaging multimedia videos, images and supplements; ability to store or delete downloaded issues; speedy issue-browsing capability via Quick View; quick scrolling through abstract summaries; convenient notification when a new issue is available; and link to Neurology online to view supplemental data and browse the archives.
The Neurology app was developed by and is being distributed by the American Academy of Neurology's publishing partner, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
