American Academy of Neurology unveils new OA medical journal -

The American Academy of Neurology has launched a new online, open access medical journal, titled Neurology® Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation, to provide neurologists and scientists interested in translational research with peer-reviewed articles, editorials and reviews to enhance patient care, education, and clinical and translational research.

Neurology: Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation will feature open access reports of original research and in-depth reviews of topics including multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica (NMO), Guillian-Barré, myasthenia, inflammatory muscle disease, neurodegeneration (AD, PD, ALS), non-infectious encephalitis and infections of the nervous system, and a broad range of other neurologic diseases. The journal will be an online-only publication, with an iPad® app coming soon.

Dr. Richard M. Ransohoff, a professor of molecular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western University, staff neurologist at the Mellen Center for MS Treatment and Research, and director of the Neuroinflammation Research Center in the Department of Neurosciences of the Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic, will serve as the Editor of the journal.
