The American Academy of Ophthalmology has announced the launch of Ophthalmology® Retina, a new scientific journal focusing exclusively on retina-related eye diseases and conditions. Ophthalmology Retina publishes original research of interest to retina specialists worldwide. Dr. Andrew P. Schachat will serve as the editor-in-chief of the journal.
The new publication is an extension of Ophthalmology®, the Academy's flagship journal and one of the most-read clinical publications within the medical specialty. Ophthalmology Retina benefits from sharing experienced staff and an overlapping editorial board with Ophthalmology, which allows for an expedient review and publication process.
Ophthalmology Retina is available in print and online. Subscriptions are available to both members and non-members of the Academy. The journal is published by Elsevier.
