The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has appointed Dr. Craig W. Lindsley as editor-in-chief (EIC) of the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, effective January 1, 2021.
Lindsley’s research group focuses on drug discovery, medicinal chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry. He is the founding and current editor-in-chief of ACS Chemical Neuroscience and interim editor-in-chief of ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science. A search for permanent editors-in-chief for those journals is underway now.
In the 2020 Web of Science Journal Citation Reports from Clarivate, the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry was named the most highly cited journal in the category of ‘Chemistry, Medicinal.’ The journal publishes articles, perspectives and drug annotations that contribute to an understanding of the relationship between molecular structure and biological activity or mode of action.
