The American College of Physicians (ACP) has announced the launch of a new website - www.acponline.org - to provide internal medicine physicians and related subspecialists with easy access to ACP information on clinical topics, practice management tools, continuing medical education, and other useful resources. In addition, the new website also has resources for medical students, residents, fellows, and patients and their families.
ACP's new website has over 25,000 pages of content. Visitors to the site can now browse and search ACP's comprehensive collection of clinical resources such as Annals of Internal Medicine and the Physicians' Information and Education Resource (PIER) in one easy-to-find location. They can also access management tools to help run a practice and improve practice performance, stay up-to-date with continuing medical education from ACP, prepare for certification and re-certification, search for a fellowship, and access information and resources developed specifically for patients needed to understand both their care and the doctor-patient relationship.
The new ACP home page features spotlights on clinical and practice management issues, the latest news from ACP, updates on current advocacy projects, and quick links to new initiatives, services, and products. The new design, information architecture, and navigation of the site are intended to make the online experience more efficient and effective for users.
