American Heart Association partners with Wiley-Blackwell to launch new book series -

The American Heart Association has announced a partnership with Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, to publish a new series of medical references. The new series called the American Heart Association Clinical Series is designed to help physicians translate scientific and technological advances into better patient care.

Each hardcover volume focuses on one urgent topic, with leading clinicians writing on their areas of individual expertise under the editorial guidance of Series Editor Dr. Elliott Antman, FAHA, Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School. The first four titles have been well received by the medical community and the next four titles in this series are publishing throughout 2009.

Wiley-Blackwell publishes over 1,400 peer-reviewed journals as well as more than 1,500 new books annually in print and online, as well as databases, major reference works and laboratory protocols.
