The American Physiological Society (APS) has announced the founding editorial team of Function, the newest publication in the APS family of journals. The inaugural editorial team members are Dr. Allen W. Cowley Jr.; Dr. Patricia Molina; Dr. Mark Nelson; Dr. Christopher Newgard; Dr. Colin Nichols; Dr. Valerie O’Donnell; Dr. Anant Parekh,; Dr. Tullio Pozzan; Dr. Jean Schaffer; and Dr. Richard W. Tsien.
Function will provide an open-access, multidisciplinary home for research describing major advances in basic, translational and clinical science that broadens the physiological understanding of biological function.
With the journal set to launch in 2020, the editorial team will play a major role in defining the journal’s scope and energising the physiology community about the new publication.
