American Psychological Association appoints Brenda Carter as publisher, APA Books -

The American Psychological Association has announced the appointment of Brenda Carter as publisher, APA Books.

Carter has been involved in academic publishing almost her entire career, most recently as acting editorial director for Rowman and Littlefield. Before that, she was executive director for SAGE College editorial and director for Congressional Quarterly's college publishing division.

The APA Books publishing program meets the needs of scholars, clinicians, researchers and students in all areas of psychology and related fields with more than 900 active titles, including the 'Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association®,' the official guide to APA Style®.

Through its Magination Press® imprint, APA Books publishes books designed to help children deal with a wide variety of psychological concerns and challenges, from common issues to special circumstances. Its APA Videos® imprint also produces videos designed for professional clinical training and continuing education.
