STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced that the Sixth International Symposium on Molecular Insect Science is the first of the series to be held outside the US. This year the conference will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from October 2 - 5, 2011.
Previous symposia, organised by the University of Arizona's Center for Insect Science, were received with great enthusiasm. Its new location will facilitate the attendance by scientists and students in Europe, America, and the rest of the world. Leading researchers from the major areas of molecular insect science will present the latest achievements in this research field and the emerging insect biotechnologies of biomedical and agricultural interest.
The upcoming Symposium in Amsterdam is projected as a unique occasion for scientists working both on basic and applied insect science to meet and discuss the cutting-edge information and technology in this research area.
