Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences joins PeerJ as an AIM member, offering no APCs for AUAS authors -

Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) has officially become a member of the PeerJ community, marking a significant milestone in Open Access publishing. By joining the Annual Institutional Membership (AIM) program, AUAS faculty, staff, and students gain the valuable opportunity to publish in any PeerJ journal without incurring Article Processing Charges (APCs).

AUAS, a prominent knowledge institution, is dedicated to providing a diverse mix of students with professional education programs, allowing them to fully develop their talents and independently practice their chosen professions at a high level. By fostering a connection between education and applied research, AUAS contributes to innovation in the professional sector and the community in and around the vibrant city of Amsterdam.

With the AIM membership, AUAS aims to eliminate financial barriers for its academic community, enabling them to freely contribute to the global scholarly conversation. By opting for the manual approval option for AIMs, AUAS ensures that affiliated authors can publish without APCs by submitting an application to verify their eligibility for membership. Each new submission will be reviewed by the AUAS Library team.

The PeerJ AIM program provides a seamless and cost-effective solution for institutions, offering unlimited Open Access publishing for faculty members. The simplified process eliminates the need for authors to worry about APCs, while librarians benefit from reduced administrative overhead associated with handling payments on an article-by-article basis.

Institutions interested in the AIM program can reach out to PeerJ to explore the benefits of this collaborative initiative. The AUAS partnership with PeerJ exemplifies a commitment to advancing Open Access principles and fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing within the academic community.
