EMpact Sales (EMpact), the publisher representation group within the EBSCO Information Services division, has announced an agreement with American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc. (APPI) to further the availability of the latter's scholarly information. Under the deal, EMpact will serve as APPI's exclusive sales agent in Mexico, Central America, South America, The Caribbean, Puerto Rico and The Republic of South Africa.

Through EMpact, libraries will be able to subscribe to APPI's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) Premium collection at PsychiatryOnline.com. A DSM Premium subscription provides access to 10 reference books including DSM-IV-TR and other DSM library titles, The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Psychiatry, and Gabbard's Treatments of Psychiatric Disorders, as well as five peer-reviewed journals - American Journal of Psychiatry, Psychiatric Services, Academic Psychiatry, Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences and Psychosomatics. Also, EMpact will sell APPI's journals on an individual title basis.
