The American Physical Society has called for submissions to Physical Review X (PRX), the new online, open access research journal from APS covering all fields of physics. Authors and research institutions worldwide are invited to be a part of this new venture.
PRX is committed to publishing original research in pure, applied, and interdisciplinary fields, which will be valued by a global readership. The journal will provide validation through prompt and rigorous peer review, and an open access venue within the Physical Review family of publications. The first issue of PRX is planned for September 2011.
Jorge Pullin, Chair of the Horace C. Hearne, Jr. Institute for Theoretical Physics and professor in the Louisiana State University Center for Computation & Technology and Department of Physics and Astronomy will serve as the journal's editor. He will be supported by a strong international editorial board of distinguished scientists.
