The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has announced that planning is underway for the ARL-CNI Fall Forum, '21st-Century Collections and the Urgency of Collaborative Action.' The event, scheduled for October 13-14, 2011, in Washington, DC, will immediately follow the ARL Membership Meeting.
The forum will examine issues such as what will collections in the 21st-century research library look like? How will collections be defined, created, and preserved for scholars? Why do we need to have collaborative answers?
'21st-Century Collections and the Urgency of Collaborative Action' is co-sponsored by ARL and Coalition for Networked Information (CNI). The Program and Schedule for the event is available online at http://www.arl.org/events/fallforum/forum11/ff11schedule.shtml.
