ASME announces new online resource for bioengineering professionals -

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has announced a new website designed to bring together the biomedical engineering community and provide access to the latest advances in research and development, while fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and information exchange.

Named the Alliance of Advanced Biomedical Engineering (AABME) and residing at aabme.org, the site amalgamates technical articles, reports, and other content on topics ranging from cell therapy and thermal medicine to medical devices and 3D printing. With the intent of serving as a comprehensive resource for relevant content in biomedical engineering, the site also features information on technical journals, including publications of ASME, conferences and events, and the Society's codes and standards in the biomedical and bioengineering fields. Plans to develop more collaborative and interactive tools are under way.

Visitors can complete a free site registration to join the alliance and connect to a community of like-minded technical professionals seeking networking opportunities in this growing interdisciplinary field. Joining AABME includes additional benefits through one of three free offers selected during registration: (1) a subscription to a newsletter with exclusive content on data, analysis, technology and business insights in biomedical engineering and related markets; (2) access to a curated topic search within ASME's Digital Collection plus free access to 10 articles, journal papers or conference papers; or (3) discounted access to select ASME biomedical events and conferences.
