Information services provider Atypon Systems, Inc., US, has announced that academic publisher Oldenbourg Verlagsgruppe, Germany, is using Atypon's software to power its just-launched publishing platform for its journals and books.
The Oldenbourg Verlagsgruppe, which includes its subsidiary Akademie Verlag, publishes 40 journals and more than 400 new books each year, the latter of which are being made available in digital format for the first time. In addition, more than 3,000 backlist titles are in the process of being digitised.
The new platform (www.oldenbourg-link.com), which is hosted by Atypon, is available in English and in German. It provides a host of capabilities to librarians and researchers, including the ability to download e-book MARC records for integration with library cataloguing systems.
