Australia’s Bond University opts for Ex Libris Alma and Primo -

Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris® Group has announced that Bond University, in Queensland, Australia, has selected the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution and the Alma resource management service. The growing collection of the library's electronic resources, together with its strategic priority of supporting the university's academic objectives, makes the cloud-based Primo-Alma combination a compelling solution for Bond.

It is expected that the adoption of Primo will significantly enhance the research experience for students and faculty, who will be able to move easily between search activities and library services such as accounts and hold requests. Library staff members are also looking forward to enabling users to personalise the ranking of Primo search results according to the users' discipline and level of scholarly expertise.

Alma will enable Bond University library to enhance its collaborative activities in areas such as resource sharing and fulfillment. Closer to home, the Alma solution's unified, automated workflows and comprehensive analytics capabilities will improve efficiencies and inject usage data and trends into the decision-making equation. As a current Ex Libris Aleph site, Bond University is keen to adopt the newest technology from Ex Libris for managing and exposing all collections via a unified, cloud-based platform.
