Open access publisher BioMed Central has announced that PMC Biophysics has been re-launched as BMC Biophysics with an expanded scope and Editorial Board. The 'P to B' transition is the consequence of integrating PhysMath Central journals into existing Springer and BioMed Central portfolios.
BMC Biophysics will now become part of the BMC series alongside BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Medical Physics, BMC Structural Biology and BMC Systems Biology.
BMC Biophysics publishes articles in experimental and theoretical aspects of biological processes from the microscopic to macroscopic level, including thermodynamics, structural stability and dynamics, molecular biophysics, signalling, novel biophysical methods and computational biophysics. The journal launches with a thematic series of articles on Biological Diffusion and Brownian Dynamics, highlighting the latest research in this rapidly advancing field.
