BioMed Central to publish Clinical Epigenetics journal -

Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced Clinical Epigenetics, the official journal of the Clinical Epigenetics Society, as the latest addition to its open access portfolio. The journal has published its first open access articles.

Led by Professor Ulrich Mahlknecht, the journal publishes articles covering all aspects of epigenetic principles and mechanisms, along with reports on defects of epigenetic regulation, in relation to human disease, diagnosis and therapy.

The first open access articles include a review from Rajendran et al. summarising how dietary phytochemicals that affect the epigenome can also trigger DNA damage and repair mechanisms; research from Soubry et al. reporting a race-specific response to the use of anti-depressants during pregnancy; and insights from Hsu et al. into how suforaphane may regulate gene expression as a prostate cancer chemopreventive agent.

Clinical Epigenetics was previously published by Springer. To access articles published prior to this transition, user may see SpringerLink.
