Open access publisher BioMed Central has announced that Marine Biodiversity Records, a journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, will be published by BioMed Central from January 2016. The re-launched open access journal is now accepting submissions.
Marine Biodiversity Records is a peer-reviewed, online publication with a focus on the rapidly changing marine and coastal environment. The journal will publish original research articles which record and review behavioural and geographical changes in marine organisms, including effects of the introduction of novel or alien species to marine ecosystems, and new records of species in previously undocumented areas.
The journal was formerly published by Cambridge University Press as a subscription journal with an open access option.
