BioMed unveils accredited CME webcast in 'Arthritis Research & Therapy' -

Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has published its first Continuing Medical Education (CME) webcast, in the journal Arthritis Research & Therapy. The webcast, titled Clinical Conundrum: Use of COX-2 Inhibitors, nsNSAIDs and ASA in Patients with Cardiovascular Risk, provides education to meet the needs of primary care physicians and rheumatologists.

The webcast is presented by Dr. Vibeke Strand from Stanford University with Dr. William B. White of the University of Connecticut and R. Andrew Moore, DSc, from the University of Oxford. Supported by an educational grant from Pfizer, the programme is designed to help physicians maintain and develop their knowledge, skills and practice.

Arthritis Research & Therapy is an international, peer-reviewed online and print journal publishing original research, reviews, commentaries and reports. The major focus of the journal is on the mechanisms of, and translational laboratory and clinical research into, localised and systemic immune-inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Phase I, II and III clinical trials are also published.
