The flagship BioOne Complete journal aggregation for 2024 will offer an impressive total of 218 titles, maintaining its existing roster without any additions or departures. This robust database now boasts a vast repository of over 215,000 articles hailing from 156 society and nonprofit publishers. These publishers represent specialized scientific communities focused on the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. Among the 2024 BioOne Complete collection, an impressive 82% of subscribed titles boast an impact factor, while 60% of current titles are exclusively available in full-text XML format through BioOne. Libraries can access BioOne Complete through an annual subscription, with an aggregation model that delivers this content at an average per-title cost significantly below the average title in biology, standing at an impressive 94% lower.
Expanding its coverage, the BioOne Complete Archive will encompass all subscribed content published from 1996 through 2019, effectively growing the archive to feature more than 156,000 articles. This expansion offers flexibility to both new and existing library partners, enabling them to enhance their permanent digital holdings by purchasing the BioOne Complete Archive as a one-time acquisition.
BioOne also extends its offerings to libraries with the introduction of the ESA eBook Collection, featuring 161 newly-digitized eBooks. These eBooks are a valuable addition to BioOne's repertoire, preserving and disseminating a century's worth of entomological research. The ESA eBook Collection finds its home on the BioOne Digital Library platform and is also available for one-time purchase.
