'BioSpectrum Asia' bags Asian Publishing Award for 2008 -

BioSpectrum Asia, a life sciences magazine from the CyberMedia Group, India, has reportedly won the Asian Publishing Award 2008 under the 'innovative business model' category. The award was announced during the Asian Publishing Convention (APC) held in Singapore recently.

APC, now on its second year, seeks to bring worldwide publishing management thinking and expertise to multimedia publishing managers in Asia. The Asian Publishing Award 2008 received 203 entries from 79 publishing companies across 22 countries.

BioSpectrum Asia is seen to have won the award for developing business models that exploit multimedia opportunities while understanding the role of content and changing consumer preferences. Launched from Singapore in March 2006, it is the first Indian magazine title to be published from outside the country for a global audience. The journal is delivered in multiple formats - a monthly print magazine, a fortnightly digital magazine, daily electronic newsletter and website.
