Global publisher BMJ Group, UK, is set to launch a new supportive and palliative care journal - BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care. Slated for launch in April 2011, the journal aims to promote a global exchange of research-based evidence and innovative practice across many disciplines and specialties. Dr Bill Noble, Macmillan senior lecturer in palliative medicine at the University of Sheffield, will lead a world-class editorial team that will seek to ensure high standard of practice-changing research and education.
BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care will publish articles that are relevant to clinical practice and clinical service development; including transitional research, clinical trials, epidemiology, behavioural sciences, health service research, reviews, and comment. The journal, which adds to BMJ Group's stable of more than 35 existing specialist titles, is an international peer review journal for clinicians, researchers, and other healthcare workers in clinical services where supportive and palliative care is practised.
The Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has officially adopted the title, which will automatically be offered to all its members.
