BOHS appoints Dr. Rachael M. Jones as new Chief Editor of the Annals of Work Exposures and Health -

The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) has announced Dr. Rachael M. Jones as the new Chief Editor of the world-renowned scientific and research journal ‘Annals of Work Exposures and Health’. Dr. Jones is an Associate Professor and Industrial Hygiene Program Director at the University of Utah. Appointed after a competitive process, she will replace the current Chief Editor, Dr. Noah Seixas, who retires after 8 years in charge.

Dr. Jones is a Certified Industrial Hygienist from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and has an impressive track record of research in occupational hygiene, with specific experience in exposure modeling, statistical analysis of exposure data, infectious disease transmission, and microbial risk assessment. She also served as Vice- President and President of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene (JOEH) in 2016 and 2017. Dr. Jones will be responsible for all aspects of the journal starting with Issue 1 of Volume 65.

BOHS’ Annals of Work Exposure and Health – formerly known as The Annals of Occupational Hygiene, is a peer-reviewed scientific and research journal, published by Oxford University Press.

The Annals is one of the world’s leading journals in the field of recognising, quantifying, removing or controlling hazards and risks to health from work and unique in its key focus on occupational hygiene i.e. the scientific discipline that protects people against the wide range of health risks that can arise from exposures at work. The Annals is the academic journal of BOHS, and is freely available to its members, as well as international partners and subscribers via the Oxford University Press.
