Boopsie, Inc., the mobile platform-as-a-service provider for libraries worldwide, has released a case study focused on its partnership with San Diego County Library (SDCL) to expand the library system's reach and engagement with its community. Boopsie worked with the Library to create a custom branded app that enables mobile catalogue searches and access to library services.
Before partnering with Boopsie, SDCL was aware of the trend towards offering mobile access to library resources but did not have the time, budget or expertise required to offer their patrons a custom mobile application. The study explores the results of a partnership between Boopsie and SDCL to implement the SDCL-branded app. Among other key findings, it highlights how SDCL attracted 3,000 monthly unique users through implementation of the app.
